Note 1: The number of vacancies given above is tentative and could be altered at any point by the Competent Authority. The PH Category will be filled based on the Government of India rules. At the moment, there’s only 1 vacancy of HH category.

Note 2: The age is relaxable for SC/ST applicants upto 5 years and upto 3 years for OBC candidates in regard to vacancies reserved for them.

Job Responsibilities:

The role of the Patent Office will be to process the applications for grant of patents to safeguard and promote inventions.  The Patent Examiner is the backbone of this Patent office who’s responsible for examination of the Patent applications for inventions and its own claims and determines/recommends if the patent could be granted. The responsibilities of the examiners contain, inter alia:

1. To investigate each application and determine the invention is explained clearly in such a manner that a skilled individual would have the ability to utilize it.
2. To determine and assign the international patent classification (IPC) on the foundation of disclosure made in the application.
3. To inspect the application comprising the invention under the conditions of the Patents Act1970 (as amended).
4. To conduct search through patent and non-patent literature of previous publications, technical literature via database or including online databases of India and international patent specifications to ensure that the invention is novel.
5. To read and comprehend a patent application and comparing with the previous art to determine innovative and new technological donation made from the invention disclosed in the patent application and its industrial application.
6. To prepare an examination report by assessing the search results obtained.
7. To undertake all such activities as may be delegated from time to time such as the other activities as may be needed in future, as patents will be an evolving discipline
8. Posting:
   Candidates selected through this recruitment procedure are apt to be posted everywhere in India in the offices under the office of CGPDTM.
   Application Process:
   Candidates will be required to register and fill out the application form via ONLINE mode ONLY By accessing the web site www.cgpdtmrecruitment.in. The signature and photograph of the applicant has to be uploaded during the online application. Please be aware that all necessary certifications, including, degree certification, category certificate etc., ought to be kept prepared in digital form of appropriate size for uploading in a later stage, if needed. Please note that application forms aren’t available in physical form for sale.
   Elibility Criteria:
   Nationality A candidate must be either:
   (a) a citizen of India, or
   (b) a subject of Nepal, or
   (c) a subject of Bhutan, or
   (d) a Tibetan refugee who came over to India before 1st January, 1962 with the intention of permanently settling in India, or
   (e) a person of Indian origin who has migrated from Pakistan, Burma, Sri Lanka, East African nations of Kenya, Uganda, the United Republic of Tanzania, Zambia, Malawi, Zaire, Ethiopia and Vietnam with the intention of permanently settling in India. Provided that a candidate belonging to categories (b), (c), (d) and (e) will be a individual in whose favour a certificate of eligibility has been issued by the Government of India

A candidate in whose case a certificate of eligibility is essential, could be admitted to the exam but the offer of appointment may be granted only after the confirmation of mandatory eligibility certificate issued to him by the Government of India.

Note: The applicant should hold the degree from any of Universities incorporated by an Act of the Central or State Legislature in India or other educational institutions established by an Act of Parliament or declared to be deemed as a University under Section-3 of the University Grants Commission Act, 1956, on the final date of their receipt of application

Minimum Educational Qualifications: 

Biochemistry  – Master’s Degree in Biochemistry

Age Limit:

a. A candidate must have attained the age of less than 21 years and must not have reached the age of 35 years. The crucial date for determining the age-limit will be the final date for submission of online recruiting application.

b. The upper age limit of 35 years will be relaxable upto 40 years in the case of government servants in compliance with the orders or instructions issued by the Central Government

Application Fee and Payment Gateway:

i. Candidates belonging to General/OBC category need to pay a fee of Rs. 200/- (Rupees Two Hundred only) either using internet banking or by using visa/master, credit/debit card only.

ii. Candidates belonging to SC/ST/PH/Women applicants of any community are exempted from application fee.

iii. Applications with no prescribed fee (such as General/ OBC category) won’t be approved. No representation against such rejection would be entertained

iv. Fee once paid will not be refunded under any circumstance nor will the fee be held in reserve for any other examination or selection.

A) Candidates have to refer the web site for information and apply online using the Site www.cgpdtmrecruitment.in.

B) No hard copy of the application shall be entertained.  Any copy delivered by email or post Shall not be considered and no reply to such petition will be sent to the candidates.

C) Only successfully online submitted software of this candidate will be considered for Additional processing of e-Admit card for evaluation.
