Age : Not exceeding 35 years as on normal closing date. Not exceeding 40 years for SC candidates on the normal closing date in respect of posts reserved for them. (Relaxable for Govt. Servants upto 5 years in accordance with instructions issued by the Central Govt.)
Essential Qualificaiton (s)
a) Bachelor’s degree in Pharmacy with 1st class, or
b) Master’s degree in Pharmacy with 1st class or grade points more than 6.75 under CGPA.
c) Registration as Pharmacist under the Pharmacy Act, 1948.

Note-1 Qualification should be acquired through regular programmes and not through distance education.
Note-2 If a class/division is not awarded, a minimum of 60% marks in aggregate shall be considered equivalent to 1st class/division.
If a grade point system is adopted, the CGPA will be converted to equivalent marks as below
Grade point and Equivalent percentage of marks
6.25 : 55%
6.75 : 60%
7.25 : 65%
7.75 : 70%
8.25 : 75%

Note-4 The Qualification(s) regarding experience is/are relaxable at the discretion of the Union Public Service Commission, for reason to be recorded in writing, in case of candidates belonging to the Scheduled Castes or Scheduled Tribes if, at any stage of selection. The Union Public Service Commission is of the opinion that sufficient number of candidates from these communities possessing the requisite experience are not likely to be available to fill up the vacancies reserved for them.

Duty(ies) : Teaching Diploma and Post-Diploma Courses, Design and development of laboratory instruction, student assessment and evaluation, innovation in instruction, developing resources materials and assisting in curriculum development, R & D work on industrial problems and projects and assisting in extension service to the community, continuing education activities, co-curricular and extra-curricular activities, student counseling . Assisting the department administration.
Probation : One year
