Post : Pharmacy Resident
Job Description
This is an experiential training position to develop the skills of the pharmacy resident through a variety of clinical and administrative practice opportunities. Rotations offered include, but not limited to: General Adult Medicine, Critical Care Medicine, Pharmacy Administration, Infectious Diseases, Ambulatory Care, Emergency Medicine, Toxicology, and Research. Program objectives will be guided by American Society of Health-System Pharmacists (ASHP) standards and achieved primarily by progressively independent, less supervised work. The resident will actively participate and promote the clinical pharmacy activities of the department.

Required Skills
• Knowledge of the information and techniques needed to diagnose and treat human injuries, diseases, and deformities.
• Knowledge of principles and processes for providing exceptional customer service.
• Effective oral and written communication skills.
• Knowledge of and ability to use computer applications.
• Advanced Pharmacy knowledge of pharmacy terminology and procedures.
• Knowledge of relevant Federal and State laws

Candidate Profile
• Graduate from an ACPE-accredited School of Pharmacy.
• 12 hours of ACPE-approved continuing education per year
• Current pharmacy license in Texas or obtain licensure by September 1st of the residency year.
